Topical Antihistamines and  antipruritics

CALAMINE:

Indications: For the relief of sunburn, windburn, rough, dry hands, chapped

and tender skin and for the relief of skin irritation.

Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.

Dose and Administration: To be applied gently to the affected parts when

required.

CROTAMITON:

Indications: pruritus including pruritus after scabies.

Contraindications: Acute exudative dermatoses. Hypersensitivity to any of the

ingredients. Eurax should not be used in or around the eyes since contact with

the eyelids may give rise to conjunctival inflammation.

Dose and Administration: Pruritus, apply 2–3 times daily; child below 3 years,

apply once daily.

DIMETHINDENE:

Indications: Pruritus associated w/ dermatoses, urticaria, insect bites, sunburn,

and superficial burns.

Contraindications: Avoid prolonged exposure of extensively treated areas to

sunlight. Avoid use on extensive skin areas in infant & small childn.

Dose and Administration: Apply twice daily.
