ACCESS TO CARE AND CONTINUITY OF CARE (ACC):

Information about the hospital provided to the patients in “Patient Information booklet” (English & Arabic version).

Language Interpreters are available when needed and the list of interpreters and their contact numbers are posted on all nursing stations/ units and in Communication Department (telephone operator).

Physical Wheelchairs/Stretchers are readily available at main entrance(ER & OPD). Lifts are available in all floors, handicapped toilets available in all public toilets each hospital building. Commode chair available in all inpatient areas.

Religious Prayer Places for different patients are available within the hospital buildings.

Cultural Different types of food choices are available as per medical reasons. Patient’s needs to observe auspicious time for any procedures are honored.

 

 

Continuity of Care

The hospital’s processes ensure continuity of patient care services among healthcare providers in emergency services and inpatient admissions, diagnostic services and treatment services, surgical and non-surgical treatment services, outpatient and other organizations and other care settings through (but not limited to):

  • Electronic programs/ modules/ processes
  • Clinical guidelines, pathways, protocols and policies & procedures
  • Progress Notes (multidisciplinary)
  • Handoff/ hand-over tools (SBAR, i-DRAW)
  • Consultations & referrals
